ABUJA-Speaker House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara made a return to the presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday where he met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors.
This would be the second time the speaker would be visiting the villa in quick succession since the crisis between him and the erstwhile Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Abdulmuni Jibrin broke out over the padding of the 2016 budget estimates.
Dogara had in his last trip to the villa penultimate Friday told State House Correspondents that padding was was a crime. But yesterday, the speaker who visited with a senator from Bauchi State refused to speak, saying “I am on holiday”. He also refused to disclose when he would resume when asked by Journalists, as he said that Journalists knew when the House proceeded on recess.
